Game  Album  Rating Dream Long Dead Misc MP3's 7/10

    Dream Long Dead is core Electronica, with very fat analog sounds and clean rhythms. They have a VERY large amount of tracks available, which I must imagine span the course of several years (at least I hope so, otherwise I feel a little lazy!), a total of 51 songs! I've downloaded them all, and I have to say that there aren't any that I hate, some just don't stand out as much as the others do, but that's just because the ones that do rip, DO RIP! (Almost) all of my favorites from them come from their newest songs, which is a good sign of things to come, with my favorite being the song 'Once', which you can get from, where else, but MP3.COM by following this link. MP3.COM contains just their newest tracks, so I would recommend going to their site (linked below), and sucking down all of their other tracks and judging them for yourself. The part about their music that I liked the most is the smooth, clean feeling the songs have (re: 'Once' again), magnificent, and some of their songs are solid 9's and 'Once' I consider a 9.5. The only downside (if you can consider this one), is that they have a wide artistic range, which mean broader appeal, and a better chance that everyone will hear a song they like, but by the same token it means that you will probably not like some of the other tracks as well. I must point out that this does show one of the inherent weaknesses in the MP3 format, from the artistic side, and that is that since you don't have an album so to speak, and there normally isn't an order to the songs, it's very difficult to gauge things. I feel confident that if I had heard their songs in the context of a CD, it probably would have gotten them a higher rating since there would be a consistency that MP3's lack. I can't wait to hear what these guys do next!
